RSS Feeds - Really Simple, Really???

Because I couldn't remember every question I asked for on this blog post, I decided to copy/paste, them, then insert my answers to each one so I wouldn't leave any out.
  • What do you like about RSS and newsreaders? It's like one-stop shopping, I see everything in one place.
  • How do you think you might be able to use this technology in your work or personal life? For my personal life, I see the news and stories I'm interested in as soon as I log on, and don't have to go out and search for them on multiple sites.
  • How can libraries use RSS or take advantage of this new technology?  The possibilities for libraries are endless - we can set up RSS feeds so that when students log in, they see the latest and greatest information and news on our sites, for example.  We can also use them to highlight information when we're doing research.
  • Which method of finding feeds did you find easiest to use?  Bloglines is a no-brainer...I love it!  I also love that you can post your Bloglines feeder into Blogspot with just a couple of clicks!!
  • Which Search tool was the easiest for you? Which was more confusing?  I didn't really think one tool was any more difficult, but I did think that Bloglines offers the most simplestic way to create/maintain feeds.
  • What kind of useful feeds did you find in your travels? Or what kind of unusual ones did you find? I love the Daily Dilbert feeds, and the feeds about foods!!!
  • What other tools or ways did you find to locate newsfeeds?  I like looking at what other people have on their feeds to give me ideas as well.
